The very idea of being a mistress seems seedy…unclean or at least it used to, today it is just another sad realization that anything and everything goes. Who takes up this position, is it a position readily accepted given what is at stake……maybe therein lies is the answer…not everyone likes stake. The answer is “life”. Life represents, change, challenge, choice, security, love, happiness, family and most of all opportunity.  It affects all of us in different ways, how each and every one of us deals with it is something that cannot be explained to every ones satisfaction. Being or becoming a mistress falls into this category.   To be a “Mistress” you live with the scorn of society in every culture.  You live with and accept that you are second.  You provide what others cannot, will not or do not know how to. You will be involved in a relationship outside a relationship, an affair, a liaison, a romance, a brief bonk, a quickie….whatever you want to call it…it brings about suffering and heart ache to others. The excitement, the fun, the rush, the joy, the happiness,  the danger is real…but for who because in this world there is usually at least three people to consider.
